The educational sector has been rather inconsistent in mainstreaming ICT in its dominant operating model.
A purchase decision involving digital educational aids may be slowed down for
various reasons: no easy access to
budgets, complexities involved in a purchase process, as also certain institutional apprehensions with new methods, and so forth.
CSR support will bring quick relief and
help institutions/ governments/ students make an important discovery.
We expect sustainability to
improve as this process moves ahead.
Innovative pedagogy and ICT can be considerably more engaging, and hold the promise of effectively delivering some important facets of the complex teaching, self-learning and assessment processes involved in medical and healthcare education, without regard to location or time.
Our Mission is to enable easy, universal access to supplementary education, and to do so by approaching CSR funds, philanthropies of various kinds, development agencies and seek their benevolence to serve a public purpose diligently, innovatively, inexpensively.
Medisys is the instrument we intend using in the short term.
Aarogya Vidya Foundation will initially source digital educational packages and services from Medisys.
It’s UG packages are curriculum-based, comprehensive, easy to deploy and use, and are updated periodically.
Audio Video lectures, digital books, lab / practical sessions, bedside learning
modules, small group discussions, question banks,
skill development modules etc are all
included.
These packages go with an appropriate, custom built LMS, Assessments, package implementation and training services.
New language versions, cutomisation services and such services are in new possibility.
Arogya Vidya Foundation will also source curated packages from well known publishers in support of its mission.
Medisys is a social business enterprise, intent on impact and sustainability.
The company operates in a fugal and diligent manner, to offer vital products at rather exceptional price performance points.
Great care has been taken to remain mindful of the context of students who come from economic, social or locational disadvantage.
These packages are assiduously composed ,to supplement and complement instruction in a classroom, lab, a field site or a hospital.
During the pandemic,Medisys provided access free of charge to over 90 colleges and 20000 students.
Under an agreement with Aarogya Vidya Foundation, Medisys intends to provide its
products and services to Government,
"not for profit" colleges, and qualifying students at a significant discount to its already low charges.
In the course of 24-25 some key offerings are being further strengthened: modules to improve practice preparedness for gradutaing students and recent graduates including developement of clinical reasoning abilities and essential skills for outpatient practice.
